We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Jr Packaging Engineer (Co-op).


Position Summary/Objective:

This position has a positive impact on the company by ensuring packaging data accuracy, improving packaging quality and line efficiency as well as developing new packaging components

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s Core Values
  • Work closely with the senior packaging engineer and the cross functional team (Manufacturing, Product R&D, Production, Supply Chain, etc) to develop packaging components from concept to implementation
    • Coordinate plant trials to test packaging materials on commercial scale packaging lines
    • Coordinate packaging tests, such as compression and ship tests
    • Manage packaging specifications and Finished Product Assemblies (50% of the work)
    • Input packaging info into a new data base
    • Update packaging info and ensure their accuracy

    Reporting Relationships

    The position reports directly to the Senior Packaging Engineer

    Education & Qualifications

    • - Patient and detail oriented
    • - Enjoy working in a team and in a fast-paced environment
    • - Science or engineering degree in progress, preferably coop term after the 3rd year of degree

    • - TEAM player with a positive attitude
    • - PASSIONATE with a positive attitude with a desire to learn and collaborate
