We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Project Manager- Innovation.

Position Summary/Objective:

The Project Manager is responsible to develop, coordinate, communicate, and report and all activities related to the commercialization and launch of new products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit and protect Riverside’s Core Values
  • Manage the project deliverables for all innovation projects through the stage-gate process by coordinating cross functional activities required to commercialize new products. Cross functional departments include R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing, graphics design, packaging design, regulatory and finance
  • Develop project schedules. Document project scope, key assumptions, and project requirements
  • Lead cross-function team meetings and ad-hoc communication to ensure all team members are on schedule.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage project risk areas.
  • Be the trainer and subject matter expert on the Stage-Gate process. Improve the efficiency and deliverables of the process.
  • Analyze sales data from innovation projects and provide actions to address issues
  • Assist the Innovation Manager on assessing new areas of opportunity through competitive analysis, trend monitoring, and market research.
  • Develop product or package prototypes for innovation ideas for feasibility assessment.

Reporting Relationships

The position reports directly to the Innovation Manager.


  • Post-secondary degree in Food Science, Engineering, or Business
  • Project Management training or certificate is desirable
  • Proven experience with Stage-Gate process in a CPG company, food experience preferred
  • Very strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology including Microsoft Office products, Smartsheets (desirable), e-mail, and the internet
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Desire for career growth and personal skill development
