We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our Sales Planning Manager.

Position Summary/Objective:

The Sales Planning Manager supports the communication linkage between headquarters and the sales team. They will partner with the Director of Sales Planning & Strategy (DSPS) as well as brand marketing, trade marketing, operations, category management, finance, sales and retail partners to understand needs and drive execution on channel marketing initiatives for the Canadian Business. This role will support the MadeGood and Good To Go brands in Canada.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates and upholds Riverside’s Core Values.

Strategic and Annual Planning:

  • Key contributor to Annual Sales Planning Process
    • Establishes strategies that achieve the business goals for the brands, including go to market fundamentals as well as price and promotional strategies
    • Helps to support the Director of Sales Strategy in communicating and coordinating cross-functionally the Annual Planning materials (Marketing, Innovation, Trade Marketing, Category Management, Operations, Finance)
    • Evaluates customer team annual plans to determine gaps and works with HQ cross-functional team and sales to drive profitable growth on existing customers; scopes out and identifies opportunities with new customers

Commercialization:

  • Support the creation of the 4 P’s (product, placement, price and promotion) for innovation launches and support the volume build assumption process
  • Working with Category Management and Marketing, creates strong selling stories, materials and tools for new item launches
  • Lead the post-evaluation process for new item launches to monitor and report on variances vs. targets

Business Planning:

  • Working with DSPS and Supply Chain, create and implement a sustainable forecasting process for the Sales team

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintains trackers to support key business initiatives for Canada Sales team – display forecasting, special packs, etc.
  • Helps supports maintenance of Sales SharePoint Site including updating spec sheets, product images, etc. in advance of innovation launches
  • Keeps the work atmosphere FUN by keeping it light and welcoming
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Director of Sales Planning & Strategy.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (or equivalent education and experience)
  • 5 years’ related work experience, preferably in a CPG / Retail environment

Skills & Abilities:

  • High energy, ADAPTABLE, self-starter, able to change priorities as situations change.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Independent problem solver with good judgement
  • Strong ability to work under pressure to meet tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professional telephone manner
  • TEAM player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
